Congrats to EAHS students Carissa Warren, Jared Wolf, and Ryan Kruft for their selection to the 2017 PMEA District 7 Band. This all-star ensemble consisted of more than 100 of Central PA's most talented high school band students. Carissa plays the French horn, Jared Wolf plays the alto saxophone, and Ryan plays the Euphonium.

MAKEUP DAYS: Due to the 2 unplanned school closings due to winter weather, SCHOOL WILL BE IN SESSION on 4/17 & 5/26.

Due to the two unplanned school closings (March 14 & March 15), SCHOOL WILL BE IN SESSION on Monday, April 17 and Friday, May 26 (designated winter weather makeup days). Both makeup days will be full days of school. In addition, the pre-planned two-hour late start scheduled for Tuesday, April 18 will still go on as planned. If additional unplanned school closings occur, EASD will identify an appropriate solution to meet state requirements for student days and hours. As it currently stands, the last day of school for students remains Thursday, June 8, 2017, with students being dismissed early on this day.

EAHS senior Kathryn Shenk and sophomore Nathaniel McCloud were named finalists in the MIT INSPIRE program, a national high school research competition in the arts, humanities, and social sciences. Katy and Nat will now vie for one of the top prizes in their respective categories in April where only the top 100 finalists are invited. Congrats and job well done. Good luck in April.
