So proud of the amazing young people in our community! The following note is from one of our local eighth graders, who started The Alliance Project, selling handmade rainbow pins to support the LGBT community. "Why I started Alliance was because I kept seeing hatred everywhere I went, there was no way around. It is always on social media and on the news and you just see it on the streets when you are walking. I wanted to do some time of peaceful protest type of thing or a visual thing to say "Hey! We love instead of hate!" so Alliance was born! Alliance started out as writing the word on your body anywhere people could see it in rainbow, however most people didn't want to do it because of having marker on their body or that their parents don't support it and would have gotten mad so my amazing mom came up with the pins so even people that aren't out yet could still wear them but say that they are in support! I named it Alliance because I wanted all sexualities to be included. Also when I was doing research I found that most...not all but most LGBT+ groups left out straight people but I found that funny because most of my family is straight but completely support everyone! I don't think Alliance would keep getting this big or even gotten this big if my family, friends and my community weren't in support of me!" We have the pins at Agora Arts~ Stop in, get your pin and, if you wish, make a donation so more pins can be made!

This weekend, some extremely talented local peeps will be performing a short run of "Spamalot!" We are celebrating at Agora with a short run of Monty Python merchandise....
