Thompson Engineering, Inc. is a family owned Civil Engineering and Land Surveying Company started by Lyle Thompson in 1973. Lyle is a native of Southeast Idaho, born and raised in Madison County. Lyle has worked for many public and private companies in the Northwest, including the State of Idaho and State of Utah Department of Highways.
Today, Thompson Engineering is owned and operated by two of Lyle's four sons. All four brothers have grown up in the family business of Land Surveying and Civil Engineering by working with their father on many Public and Private sector jobs. Kevin obtained his Professional Land Surveyors License in May 2002. He continues his education in the Land Surveying field by attending Training Conferences throughout the United States. John is a Survey Crew Chief who operates field GPS and level equipment as well as performing Survey and Subdivision Layout Computations. Johns expertise is in Construction Staking.
Thompson Engineering has the equipment and software to provide a completed product in a timely manner. In the field we use Topcon GPS survey equipment and Robotic Total Stations. In the office we use the most advanced survey and engineering software on the market, AutoCAD Civil 3D. Because of Thompson Engineering's Commitment to staying on the cutting edge of technology, we pride ourselves on getting the job done faster, with a high level of accuracy.
