Bay Area Turning Point is a nationally-recognized non-profit organization serving victims of domestic violence and sexual assault in the Bay Area since 1992. Since inception, BATP has grown to be a local leader in violence prevention initiatives and client services including: 24-hour crisis hotline, support groups, legal advocacy, counseling and professional development. The BATP residential shelter,opened in 1996, is a full-service facility for women and children fleeing abusive homes.
