Happy Birthday, Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB)! The CFPB was created after the 2008 financial crisis, and has returned $12 billion in refunds to 29 million consumers harmed by financial companies. Congress is trying to pass a bill that would eviscerate the CFPB. Sign the petition to tell them to protect regulations that guard working people against a rigged financial system. http://go.aflcio.org/DefendCFPB

AFL-CIO shared U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren's video.
Agreed, U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren We oppose the nomination of William Emanuel and Marvin Kaplan to the National Labor Relations Board.
One of President Trump’s nominees for the National Labor Relations Board—the body that’s supposed to protect the right of workers to organize—has spent decades at some of the country’s biggest union-busting law firms. He’s helped giant corporations make it harder for workers to join unions and fight for higher wages and better working conditions. After reviewing Mr. Emanuel’s record and asking him about it at last week’s hearing, I’m not at all convinced that working men and women can rely on him to stand up for their rights. I opposed his confirmation to the NLRB.
