Greenville Literacy Association
Our vision is for a community that is enriched both economically and culturally by adults who have the education necessary for gainful employment and personal fulfillment.
We have two programs:
Adult Basic Education (ABE) and English as a Second Language (ESL)
-The Adult Basic Education (ABE) program provides literacy level reading one-on-one tutoring and Pre-GED and GED reading, writing, spelling, mathematics, science and social studies skills to adults to help them reach their personal goals. We also provide CRC WorkKeys classes for students to prepare to take the nationally recognized certificate.
-In response to the rapid growth of the international population to our community, Greenville Literacy trains volunteers to lead small classes in the English as a Second Language (ESL) Program. Instruction includes grammar, reading, writing, conversation, and pronunciation. The goal is to help internationals improve their English proficiency.
