Phillip Noel, MD
Dr. Noel was born and raised in Abbeville, Louisiana. The product of three generations of rice farmers, Doctor Noel grew up with a keen appreciation for the hard work and beauty of farm life, but knew early on that medical practice was his calling in life. He completed his undergraduate studies in Biology and Chemistry at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette as the Outstanding Graduate of the class of 1986, and received his medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans, where he graduated with honors and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society, indicating academic performance in the top ten percent of his medical school class. He then performed a surgical internship and completed a residency training program in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at Tulane University School of Medicine. Dr. Noel also completed a yearlong research fellowship at the LSU/Kresge Hearing Reseach Laboratory in New Orleans. After completion of his training and successfully completing all of the requirements of board certification in Otolaryngology, Dr. Noel and his wife, Michele, moved back home to the Acadiana area to live and practice medicine. Since this time, Dr. Noel has achieved fellowship in the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy as well as board certification in Sleep Medicine. Dr. Noel has five children and enjoys hunting, fishing, and gentleman farming with them in his spare time.
Duncan Hanby, MD
Dr. Hanby completed his undergraduate studies at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana, graduating with honors in Cell and Molecular Biology. He went on to attend medical school at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, Texas. After medical school, he returned to Louisiana where he completed his internship and residency training in Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery at LSU Health Sciences Center - New Orleans. During his residency, he contributed to many publications and research projects on a wide range of topics. In addition to his work at LSU, Dr. Hanby participated in head and neck cancer research at Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. He is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, The American Head and Neck Society and the Louisiana State Medical Society.
Dr. Phillip Noel and Dr. Duncan Hanby provide the full spectrum of pediatric and adult Ear, Nose and Throat care at both our Lafayette and Abbeville locations. We accept all major forms of insurance, and we are accepting new patients at this time.
