The Kentucky Humane Society (KHS), located in Louisville, KY, is a private, nonprofit organization that is Kentucky’s largest pet adoption agency. KHS is also the state’s oldest animal welfare organization, founded in 1884.
Looking for adoptable pets? Potential adopters can stop by the Kentucky Humane Society East Campus at 1000 Lyndon Lane or the Sam Swope Pet Treatment & Lifesaving Center (also called the Main Campus) at 241 Steedly Drive during normal business hours.
Both Kentucky Humane Society adoption locations are open Monday-Friday 11am-5:30pm and Saturday-Sunday from 11am-4:30pm. Adoption applications are processed between 11am-5pm on weekdays and 11am-4pm on weekends.
