The Faces of 4Cs: Celebrating 45 Years! Meet Lorie Siebler, Resource and Referral Director How long have you worked at 4Cs? 11 years as staff, and 8 years as a client What is your favorite thing about your job? Witnessing the transformation of parents, who have been minimized by life, learn how to use their voice as power to make positive changes for their family and the community. What is your favorite childhood toy? My favorite playtime activities as a child involved trees – either climbing them, raking the leaves into a big pile to jump in or raking them into rooms to play “house” with the neighborhood children. What is your favorite childhood book? Where the Red Fern Grows. As a child I read it at least once a year and loved the story of adventures and love between a boy and his dogs. What did you want to be when you grew up? I wanted to be a teacher- I had a classroom of imaginary students and every night as I would get ready for bed, they would get their nap mats out and lay down. I would always have to get after a student or two to settle down and lay quietly on their mat. Then I would read a “naptime” story to my classroom and do to sleep myself.
