Choosing a feeding method for your #newborn is a very important decision for your child’s growth and development

Small inflatable or plastic kiddie pools are a great way to cool off during the summer months, especially for small children. However, because they are often filled with tap water and lack a filtration or chemical cleaning system, they can also spread illnesses if not properly cared for. You can prevent the spread of illnesses this summer by taking the following steps: 1. Before Use - Talk with parents of friends and neighbors about their children's health and do not allow children who are sick to use the pool. 2. During Use - Remind children to avoid getting water in their mouths. If an accident or dirty diaper occurs while a child is in the pool, clear the pool, empty it and clean it well. You may also wish to leave the pool in the sun for several hours. 3. After Use - Drain or empty the pool completely, clean the pool and allow it to dry after every use. Do not leave standing water in the pool for any reason.

What is the best way to remove a tick from skin? In conjunction with the below tips, remember three things: don’t panic, remove the tick as quickly as possible and don’t use any home or folklore remedies. Monitor the bite area and pay attention to any fevers or rash within the first two weeks of removal. If the tick was attached to the skin longer than 36 hours or if you are unsure of the timing, contact your pediatrician.
