Ohio Valley Home Health was founded in 1991 to provide home health care to patients in Floyd, Clark, Harrison and Scott Counties in Indiana.
Our founder, Malinda Kost-Shaffer, RN, herself a nurse, had a vision for a home health provider that would excel in the delivery of expert medical care in the home, while also emphasizing the respect and dignity that is at the heart of healthy patient-provider relationships. In other words, home health care with the emphasis on “care.”
More than twenty years later, that same vision continues to guide and inspire all of us at Ohio Valley Home Health. Our Mission remains simple and clear: “To provide the finest level of home health care in the southern Indiana communities we serve.” We work hard to fulfill that mission every day, primarily by employing a stable medical staff that is both highly-skilled and highly empathetic.
In 2003 and 2004, we were honored with the Indiana University Kelley School of Business Award for Growth.
