In 2006, the Elsinore Woman's Club celebrated its one hundredth anniversary. In a news article published in February 9, 1906, the Elsinore Leader Press described the Elsinore Woman's Club beginnings:
"The ladies of Elsinore and vicinity met Thursday at the home of Mrs. Pool and organized a Woman's Club."
The intention of the founding members was to provide educational opportunities, culture, and service to the club and to the community.
The dream of a clubhouse came true when Isabel J. Norris, referred to in old minutes as "our Fairy Godmother," gave the club a deed to the corner lot at Lowell and Graham Avenue and pledged one thousand dollars a year for five years to build the clubhouse. Individual members pledged ten to one hundred dollars, and many fundraising benefits were held.
Construction of the Club's building began on June 18, 1925, and an open house was held on December 5 of that same year. Today, the pride that Elsinore Woman's Club members take in their club and clubhouse continues in the footsteps of their founding members.
