The Kanawha County Public Library (KCPL) system is the largest public library in the state. We have more than 100,000 card holders. Most are from the Kanawha Valley, but we have card holders in all 55 counties.
We have more than 600,000 items in our collection. More than 350,000 are housed at the Main Library and the rest are distributed through our nine branches and bookmobile.
The best thing of all? You can borrow most of our items for free!
Branches located at Clendenin, Cross Lanes, Dunbar, Elk Valley (Big Chimney), Glasgow, Marmet, Riverside (Belle), St. Albans and Sissonville. Nitro Library is an affiliate of the KCPL system. Check our website for more information about our branches, programs and services.
