The Philharmonic provides music education programs in 11 area schools and private music instruction at the 315 Franklin Street location. Annual strings and choral camps, and the Philharmonic Youth Orchestra and Children's Choir offer an opportunity for area youth to participate in a variety of music programs. Working in partnership with Indianapolis' The Cabaret, the Philharmonic will continue to bring a series of Cabaret shows to Columbus during the 2017-18 Cabaret Season. Cabaret shows begin at 7:30 at The Commons in the Arts and Entertainment District in downtown Columbus.
The Columbus Indiana Philharmonic is a public, not-for-profit organization supported by private donations and the Columbus Area Arts Council. Programming is made possible by the support of the Indiana Arts Commission and the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency.
