Umang Mehta, MD is a Beverly Hills-trained, Stanford-educated surgeon specializing exclusively in facial plastic surgery. By virtue of his advanced fellowship training in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery and board certification in head and neck surgery, Dr. Mehta is uniquely equipped to provide you with the full spectrum of surgical and nonsurgical procedures.

Dr. Mehta uses the latest in technology and minimally invasive approaches for facial rejuvenation to provide you with maximal results while minimizing your recovery time. When you come in for your consultation, Dr. Mehta will discuss your concerns in detail, carefully examine your face and neck, and provide you with the optimal plan to meet your needs. This may include office procedures such as facial fillers or Botox, skin care products, laser treatments or surgery.

Dr. Mehta also has a passion for rhinoplasty (nose surgery), both first-time and revision rhinoplasty. His philosophy is to shape your nose in a way which is balanced with the rest of your facial features. During your consultation, we utilize the latest in computer imaging technology to give you a "sneak preview" of how your nose may look after surgery. By virtue of his extensive experience in rhinoplasty and functional nasal surgery, Dr. Mehta is best able to address both your cosmetic and medical concerns, such as a deviated septum or difficulty breathing through your nose.

Our primary surgery center, Atherton Plastic Surgery Center, is certified with the highest level of accreditation by the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities, Inc. (AAAASF). Dr. Mehta also performs surgery at additional centers, including Sequoia Hospital (Redwood City) and Waverley Surgery Center (Palo Alto).

Atherton Plastic Surgery Center uses the anesthesia services of the Stanford-based Associated Anesthesiologists Medical Group ( ). All of the anesthesiologists are ’s, board certified in anesthesia. Many hold double certification in other specialties such as internal medicine or pediatrics.
