Trudi’s creative spirit and love of art took flight at the Art Institute of Chicago, where she was awarded a prestigious scholarship as a high school student. As a college student she studied Studio Art at the University of Texas in Austin. Trudi’s passion led her on a search for a life and home that would fill her heart, nurture her soul, and inspire creativity.
After years of traveling, destiny led her to a country farm nestled in the Hood River Valley. In 1993 Trudi happened by a charming home the very day the owners put up the “For Sale” sign. When she saw the sweet little farmhouse, orchard bursting with blooms, and a ceramic art studio, she knew she had found her home.
The evolution of Trudi’s pottery begins with simple forms inspired by classic Italian and antique designs. Trudi adorns each piece with fruit and flower motifs inspired by the abundant orchards of the Hood River Valley.
