Presbyterian Disaster Assistance is welcoming donations. You can call 1-800-872-3282 or go to www.presbyterianmission.org/GIVE-HARVEY to make your donation. If you send a check to the PCUSA One Great Hour of Sharing, the account number is DR000169-Harvey. Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund is being managed by the Greater Houston Community Foundation. If you are an animal lover, the SPCA of Texas is in need of donations to assist in their efforts to provide shelter to pets relocated. www.spca.org/give or www.spca.org/foster if you want to foster an animal. MATERIAL DONATIONS In the DFW area, Trusted World is accepting material donations at 15660 N. Dallas Pkwy from 3-8 pm. These items go to the area shelters. Needed are new underwear and socks, warm ups, toiletries and hygiene products, baby formula, baby wipes, bottles, Graco Pack n Plays. It is important to be cautious about material donations as it is easy to overwhelm shelters and responders with items not needed. Also, please do not use this as an excuse to clean out your closets. VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES If you are interested in sending work groups to central Texas or the Gulf Coast, please be patient. Grace Presbytery has two PDA teams deployed there now. Travel is difficult. Conditions are dangerous in some areas. Search and rescue is still underway. There are few, if any, places for work teams to house.
