Lewis Dental Laboratory is a small, high quality oriented crown and bridge dental laboratory located in Wilmington, North Carolina, which opened in 1992. It is owned by Robert E. Lewis, CDT, TE.
We have experience in many types of restorations, including Implants, All-porcelain crowns and veneers, traditional PFM’s and gold crowns. In early 2012 we acquired a Preciso scanner, mill and sintering oven. Milling our own Zirconia copings and full contour monolithic crowns in house has kept need to outsource is at a very minimum and only in extreme cases. We also now mill our waxing copings and bridges for our traditional PFM’s giving us phenomenal results.
What sets Lewis Dental Laboratory apart from other labs is our commitment to quality, attention to detail and our understanding of the importance of the dentist’s chair time. We take that extra step to ensure that the seating time is minimal.
A little about the owner, Robert Lewis started working in a dental office in 1975 as a roving dental assistant. Prior to going to Durham Community College, Robert also took courses in dental technology through UNC- Chapel Hill Independent Study. He graduated from Durham Community College in 1981 with an AAS in Dental Technology. Robert is a Certified Dental Technician and Technologist as designated through the National Board for Certification in Dental Technology and also registered by the South Carolina Board of Dentistry .
