You may know that Colorado is one of only 18 states in the country with a voluntary state bar association. Most state bar associations started out this way; but in the 1920s, many jurisdictions moved to mandatory bar membership as they assumed control of attorney regulation and assured their membership numbers. In contrast, the Colorado Bar Association exists only because our 18,000 members make the conscious decision each year to be a member of the CBA and support the work we do. Our association has been created by our members and for our members. The CBA’s leadership will continue to do our best to meet the needs and desires you have communicated to us.
The CBA offers many programs including 27 substantive law sections, continuing legal education programs, job search assistance, and members-only discounts. Please visit the , call the Association at (303) 860-1115, or stop by the office at 1900 Grant Street, Ste. 900, Denver, to find out more about all of the all of the benefits the CBA provides!
