Created in 1992, the Lincoln Institute is a 501c(3) non-profit educational foundation. This organization conducts a wide range of public opinion polls, surveys and focus groups including the signature Keystone Business Climate Survey which has been taken by the owners and CEOs of businesses throughout the Commonwealth every six months for the past 15 years. The Keystone Survey has since become a dependable bellwether of the direction of the state’s economy.
The Lincoln Institute is proud to also work in conjunction with the Pennsylvania Association of Nonprofit Organizations (PANO), to conduct the Pennsylvania Charitable Organizations Survey each year to track key trends in the state’s nonprofit sector. The Lincoln Institute has also conducted focus groups on topics such as school choice, gambling, and environmental issues and has implemented a series of statewide polls.
