At Able Body, integrity is the difference between a car that performs like new and one that just looks like it. We repair your vehicle so it once again meets factory specifications, restoring your confidence in your vehicle’s performance and safety. We meticulously restore your vehicle’s original factory appearance and are committed to delivering more than just a “cosmetic makeover.” Our technicians are committed to quality and have the skills necessary to deliver what they promise. Each technician has completed extensive training and is qualified to restore your vehicle to its original condition; their certifications include: ASE, S/P2. I-Car, and Car-o-liner. Our precision unibody frame equipment (the Winner Grabber), coupled with the Car-O-Liner Measuring System guarantee that we’ll meet factory specifications within 1/100th of an inch. Moreover, our computerized paint-mixing system and Unicure downdraft paint booth allows us to accurately match the color and beauty of your vehicle’s original finish. Repair Process ESTIMATE: An inspection of the vehicle is performed in our Estimate Bay. Repair information is populated into our software program which then generates a report detailing the costs associated with the repairs. Occasionally, additional damage may be discovered once the vehicle is disassembled. INSURANCE APPROVAL: We are a Direct Repair Shop for most insurance companies, and have the privilege of inspecting your vehicle and writing the repairs ourselves; getting your vehicle back to you faster without the delay of a scheduled visit from a company representative. Before beginning the repair process, Able Body Shop and your insurance company must jointly agree to the costs and procedures associated with the necessary repairs. Note: periodically a vehicle will be identified as “totaled” and no repair will be made to totaled vehicles. DISASSEMBLY: It is a common occurrence for hidden damage to be found after a vehicle has been disassembled. This process will generate a “supplement” to your original estimate and additional parts may need to be ordered. ORDER PARTS: The necessary parts are ordered and delivered in a timely fashion. Occasionally, some parts may have to be special ordered which can impact the flow of the repair process and the final delivery of your vehicle. FRAME REPAIR: The body of the vehicle is measured, analyzed, and aligned for its restoration to original factory specifications. The Vision Car-O-Liner measuring system, a computerized state-of-the-art tool, is used to ensure accuracy. BODY REPAIR: The replacement of damaged exterior parts as well as any necessary metal finishing. PAINT: An important component of the finishing process is paint preparation. To ensure quality adhesion, all panels are primed as well as sealed before the final top color and clear coats are applied. REASSEMBLY: All remaining parts are reattached to the vehicle and all vehicular systems checked to verify that the car is structurally ready for delivery. DETAIL: The vehicle has been fully restored and is ready for a finishing touch to polish the dust off from the repair process. After a test drive, the vehicle is subjected to our quality control system to ensure everything is functioning properly prior to being released for delivery. COMPLETED: Before the vehicle is released to the customer, the invoice is explained in detail, all questions are addressed and the final paperwork completed.
