St. John’s Baptist Church is a Southern Baptist Church located in the heart of the thriving City of Virginia Beach, Virginia. Established in 1853, it moved into its new, modern sanctuary, media/library and office complex in September, 2009. It is anticipated that the newer, modern facility will enable it to better serve the surrounding communities of the Courthouse area.
At St. John’s, you are a stranger but once. All of the church family will be honored by your presence at its Sunday worship service, Sunday School, evening Bible Study, or any of the many activities that take place. The 11:00 service is a community service led in worship by its choir and worship team. The Sunday School meets at 9:30 , and Bible Study convenes at 5:00
The Sunday School has classes for all age groups, from nursery to adult, with many different classes for adults. The St. John's Sunday School strives to provide small, intimate, Bible based, age appropriate classes which are attuned to the needs of each group.
