Juanita Mantel taught her daughter Heidi Bryson, since a very young age, how to design and bake award winning cakes through her knowledge in cake decorating and experience that spanned well over 35 years.
Juanita was one of only 30 cake decorators nationwide to be certified by the National Bakers Association. Heidi takes part in the Southern Retail Bakers Association.
Juanita trained at the House of Clarendon, School of Confectionery Arts. She also completed graduate work with Collette Peters, America's leader in rolled fondant and gum paste flowers, which she taught her Heidi to do as well.
Heidi, now the owner of the Bake Shoppe for over 5 years, carries on the same traditions that her mother Jaunita passed on to her while working together in the family business.
Heidi specializes in Birthday, Wedding, and Anniversary cakes; as well as, cookies, pies, and more!
