Western Arkansas Ballet, a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization, offers ballet, tap, jazz, pointe, and modern classes for both our company and public students at the academy’s studio in Fort Smith. Two annual performances are provided to the public per fiscal year: The Nutcracker, held each December and a classical ballet, held each spring. A portion of the classical ballet is performed each year for area public, private, and home schooled third graders with the Fort Smith Public Schools. During the summer, a variety of dance camps is offered for all ages and levels. Western Arkansas Ballet has a full-time Executive Artistic Director, Ballet Mistress, and Administrator, and includes 19 area board members, 10 advisory board members, and nine national artistic advisory board members.
