Residential Services

Maple Leaf Services offers a wide variety of Residential Services. These are referred to as Supervised Living Services (SLS) and are generally owned and operated by Maple Leaf Services. 1 – 4 people live in each SLS. Each SLS home is typical of homes in the neighborhood.
These services are designed to meet the unique needs and wishes of the person whatever they may be. Staff schedule patterns reflect the needs of the person. They range from providing minimal support of a few hours a day to intensive 24 hour a day. The staff are trained to offer support in: household maintenance, personal hygiene, money management, cooking, shopping, safety, recreation and leisure activities, as well as social interaction and interpersonal relationships. Our staff also are trained to meet a variety of medical needs. These range from assisting with medication and routine medical intervention to ongoing very intensive medical intervention often requiring the supervision and care of Professional Medical Staff.

In-Home/ Family Support

Our In-Home/Family Support Services are designed to assist people who live in their own home or with their family. Our focus is to assist the person to learn skills that maintain or increase his or her independence.
Our staff are trained to teach skills in activities of daily living. Staff schedule patterns are generally less than in the SLS homes. Staff teach skills that will permit the person to continue to live independently in their own home or to teach skills that will help the person transition out of their family home. Like all of our services, activities take place in real life settings. Staff teach In-Home skills in the person’s home and they teach Community skills in the community.

Employment Services

Maple Leaf Services provides Supported Employment Services (SES). The goal of our SES is to assist the person to gain and maintain competitive employment.
Our staff (job coaches) are trained to assist the person to search for a job, complete job applications, and successfully be interviewed by prospective employers. Once the person has acquired a job the job coach assists them to learn the expectations of the employer. After the person has gained proficiency in his or her job responsibilities the job coach will typically decrease the amount of assistance. The job coach will then continue to monitor the person as needed at the job site and verify performance by directly communicating with the person’s employer.
