We are on an adventure of faith in Jesus Christ, discovered alongside others. We are choosing to build healthy, biblical relationships that are refreshingly authentic, brazenly honest, intentionally growing, inwardly nourished yet outwardly focused, which bear the distinctive aroma of being God-breathed and Spirit-formed. Yet, it is fair to say we do not leave this to happenstance, just hoping it spontaneously occurs. We have a part to play. So, like the early church, we have devoted ourselves to a few key principles and habits: “the apostle’s teaching, fellowship, the breaking of bread and prayers” (Acts 2:42). In other words, we have found we grow best in Christ when we have purposed ourselves to study (in small groups), rich fellowship experiences (getting beyond the superficial), service to others (the poor, hurting or needy), and to community worship (to be on a journey with others).
