From its origins nearly 25 years ago in the garage of one of its co-founders, through its move in 1989 to its present location on Plum Orchard Lane and construction of a new Middle School classroom and art studios, Santa Lucia School has remained true to its mission to provide an educational alternative for students in San Luis Obispo County through an integrated curriculum founded on real life experiences, in-depth study, and active immersion in the arts, while maintaining respect for the natural rhythm -- the spiritual and emotional side -- of each child's life: an education for the heart.
