Welcome to the Black Hawk Folk Society! We'd love to see you at one of our events. Monthly concerts are usually held on the 2nd Saturday of the month, starting at 7:00 pm; you are invited to attend a potluck dinner at 6:00 pm preceding many of the concerts. (See the Calendar of Events on our Web site for details.) Concerts are presented at the Mountain View Community Center (MVCC) from August through May and in Mt. Morris Town Park in June and July. We also host monthly acoustic jam sessions at MVCC on the fourth Sunday of each month (fourth Tuesdays during football season); bring your acoustic instrument (and a friend!) and come jam with us.
The Black Hawk Folk Society mails out a newsletter three times a year; copies are available at all concerts or to photocopy at most area libraries. The Black Hawk Folk Society is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, and all contributions are tax deductible as allowed by law.
