New Hope was founded in the early 1990s by a group of pastors from Kerrville and surrounding area with a two-fold mandate:
To provide quality professional Christian counseling to the community To provide professional counseling to those who otherwise could not afford it, the poor in our community, the uninsured and the under-insured.
Through a combination of financial support of area churches, individual and corporate donors as well as insurance and co-pays, we provide over 2000 counseling sessions each year to individuals, children and families from Kerr and the surrounding six county area.
While we are Christian founded and partly Christian funded, we counsel individuals of all walks of life and all faiths and beliefs. We strive to embody the principles of Jesus Christ in our profession and in our daily life walk. We welcome, as Jesus Christ would welcome, every individual regardless of their belief system. While we strive to embody the healing heart and mind of Christ, we neither proselytize, nor attempt to impose our own beliefs on a client.
