Our History Thank you for your business and support over the past 40 years. Ludwig Sound and Stage opened in 1975 to provide the music industry with professional audio and lighting equipment rentals, sales and service. It would be hard to find any musician or production professional that would dispute the fact that we were the first company in Connecticut to provide sound and lighting equipment as an “out the door” rental business. In 1985, we changed our name to New England Sound, and the company further evolved to include event production and video equipment rentals. Our geography expanded to include many clients from the tri-state area. More than four decades later, we are now the oldest and most trusted company, and still providing a continuum of services which include out the door rentals, event production, lighting design, wireless microphones and video equipment rentals. Our clientele includes a wide variety of individuals and groups including musicians, producers, weddings, schools, universities, corporations, civic groups, fund-raising organizations, event planners, state and federal agencies, church groups and other companies in our industry
