Barbara M. Holmes, CPA, CFPTM, MS has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1977 and a Certified Financial PlannerTM since 1992. She obtained her Master of Science degree in Estate Planning in 2000. Barbara is a member of the Rhode Island Society of Certified Public Accountants (RISCPA) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). Her practice concentrates primarily on non-profit organizations, with a particular emphasis in churches, social service agencies, and other faith-based programs for which she performs audits, reviews, and compilations. Barbara has over 30 years of experience in auditing and is certified to perform both Government and yellow book audits. She first entered the accounting profession working with Arthur Young & Company in Providence, RI and later joined the firm of Piccerelli, Gilstein & Co. In 1978, Barbara began her own practice.
