The story begins with a vision and passion to provide prenatal services to low income women who did not have access to care. In 1992 Hackley Community Care Center (HCCC) opened its doors in a renovated house on Hackley Hospital's campus.
By the following year, HCCC had outgrown the house and moved to the corner of Peck and Barney. With continued growth and additional services, HCCC moved to its current location at 2700 Baker St in Muskegin Heights in 1994.
In 1995, the first Board of Directors was formed, consisting of many community members and patients. Now in our 19th year of service to the residents of Muskegon County, HCCC continues to evaluate community resources for our patients. If they do not exist, we support other agencies to provide the services or seek to provide them ourselves.
