Or Right foot isn't that smart :/ HAHA! -Barber Staff - Barber Staff

How Smart is Your Right Foot? This is so frustrating! Give it a go This is so funny/weird that it will boggle your mind. And if you are anywhere near as stubborn as I am, you will keep trying at least a few more times to see if you can outsmart your foot, but you can't. 1) While sitting at your desk, lift your right foot off the floor and make clockwise circles. 2) Now, while doing this, draw the number '6' in the air with your right hand. 3) Your foot will change direction. I told you so. And, there's nothing you can do about it! Go ahead: KEEP TRYING ALL YOU WANT. Have a great day. Now get back to work.

Footprints in the Sand...Summer is Fun but harsh on feet. How many miles do you think we walk on average by the time we are 50?? Take a guess...... If you said 75,000 miles you are correct. Yup, that is right, we put on a ton of mileage. Here are the common tips I give this time of year for feet: 1) Always use sunscreen on the tops of your feet. They are exposed quite a bit and can burn easily. Use at least SPF 30 for UVA and UVB and do not forget to re-apply every two hours or every time you get wet. 2) Flip-flops !!! Avoid as much as possible. No support, easy to trip and fall and can lead to a variety of foot issues. Also, when worn at pools and gyms, flip flops can contain millions of bacteria in the materials. Spray with lysol monthly or replace if the odor is not resolved after cleaning. Thicker soled Crocs or my favorite, Orthaheel sandals offer far superior comfort and support. 3) When going for walks or outdoor activities in the high heat, use a moisture wicking sock and be prepared to change socks if they get wet or sweaty. Moisture is the breeding ground for foot fungus and the best way to treat a problem is to prevent it. 4) Yellow, diseased and possible infected fungal toenails. Yes, they are an eyesore and can even be painful or odorous. Consider a simple Over-the-Counter remedy to soften the nails. Apply Vicks vapor rub daily and this will control the odor and soften the nails as it contains an ingredient called Camphor which has a mild antifungal property. Also, always use a daily moisturizer. Have a nice summer, and do not hesitate to contact us with any Foot conditions. Dr. Barber and Staff
