Enriching Lives | Embracing Diversity

LAHC was recently awarded a grant by the Department of Homeland Security to sustain multiple projects serving the metro Detroit community. The proposal submission intended to seek funding for existing programs, focused on youth development, educational programming for families, and leadership and diversity education training. LAHC leadership has met on multiple occasions to discuss the implications of CVE and sought input from key leaders working closely in addressing its policies, programming, and impact on communities. Given the current political climate and cause for concern, LAHC has chosen to decline the award. LAHC takes great pride in its programs and contributions to the greater community over the last 35 years. We strive to provide quality educational, social, and human service programs that benefit all communities, regardless of race, faith, gender, orientation, or age, in a safe and welcoming environment. We continue to fulfill our role as patriotic citizens, maintaining open and transparent relationships with the community we proudly serve. ####
