Dayton Mailing Services Inc.,(DMS), was founded in January 1984, by present CEO Christine Soward's father, Robert (Bob) Hale, when he recognized there was a need for a direct mail production house serving Southwest Ohio. Mr. Hale has over 43 years experience in Direct Mail Advertising—beginning as an account coordinator for one of the country’s leading Direct Mail Advertising Agencies. His experience ranges from estimating and producing full scale national direct mail programs; assisting in the planning and creative stages, accounts manager for the entire company to being an Account Executive to Fortune 500 companies. He was a co-founder and VP of another full service Direct Mail Advertising for six years prior to starting DMS. Direct Mail was booming and more and more companies and organizations were planning and printing their own direct mail programs, thus the need for specialized direct mail production shops to complement Direct Mail Advertising Agencies who were not inclined or equipped to perform outside mailing services. In this climate, DMS quickly grew to be one of the largest mail production shops in the area, serving many local, regional, and even national accounts. Now, DMS is a successful Direct Mail Service helping customers maintain a one-on-one relationship with their clients. Dayton Mailing Services is a womens and a minority enterprise.
