Stark was diagnosed with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. He was born June 8, 2012 at Baylor Medical Hospital in Dallas, Texas. He was transported to Dallas Childrens Hospital where he had his first open heart surgery at 5 days old. His second open heart surgery was October of 2012.
In May of 2014 he had a St. Jude valve placed. The doctors were hoping to do the Fontan when he turned 4.
The fall of 2014 we realized that his heart is in too poor condition for the Fontan. After meeting with the medical team the decision was made to list him for a heart transplant. Right now we are at home waiting for a gift of life.
