Our story began 30 years ago when we opened Alternative Optical in Chelmsford, MA where we consistently met our customers optical needs by providing state of the art lens technology and unique collections of frames.
But being ordinary was never the plan.
In 2008 we decided to take our business from glasses for corrections sake to personalized, visual statements for our discerning clientele.
We sold our Chelmsford shop and embarked on our journey to create the extraordinary.
The Artful Eye Optical Emporium was born in Southern New Hampshire and offered eclectic frames and individualized service, creating a truly unique optical purchasing experience.
In 2017 we saw the writing on the wall. BIG optical was taking over!! ...homogenizing eyewear and suffering customer service. So we came up with an innovative not bring the optical shop TO the people, saving them time and $$. It was a stellar move and a leap of faith .... Here we are!
