Rising's mission is to provide high quality meat and meat processing services to local farmers in Pennsylvania. The founders share a vision of improving access to these services via the implementation of a set of core principles and practices that include, but are not limited to:
Traceability: For the farmer to know that the meat received from the plant originated entirely from the animal delivered to the plant. Accountability: For the farmer to know that the meat received from the plant represents the full extent of the edible portions of the animal delivered. Customer Service: Rising Spring Meat Company will be responsive to client requests for specialization and enhancement of their retail products. Transparent Pricing: The financial model is “fee for service”, such that fees to be applied will be determined prior to slaughter. Education and Training: To expose employees to current trends, research and marketing information about meat processing to accomplish profitability through a focus on quality, skills and craftsmanship.
