Genesee Valley Publications/Genesee Valley Penny Saver was founded in Avon in 1948 by Roger and Jane Harrison. Over the years, the Penny Saver has expanded to include 4 satellite office locations: Batavia, Canandaigua, Brockport and Dansville.

Our magazine-format, free weekly paper currently includes 10 editions, reaching Monroe, Livingston, Genesee, Ontario, Orleans, Steuben and Wayne Counties. Penny Lane Printing, our sister company, offers direct mail, printing and promotional products. The 2nd generation family-owned company employs approximately 160 full and part-time members.

We continue to win state and national awards for our advertising designs. More importantly, we've been recognized with the Gold Standard Award from Circulation Verification Council, which has us ranked first in New York State for market penetration, readership and advertiser response.
