WHITE CREEK CHRISTIAN ACADEMY is a non-denominational organization founded and operated by the Reverend and Mrs. Garvis Kinsey of Cleveland, Georgia. The Kinsey's started WCCA so the children of White and surrounding counties could receive quality academic training in a Christian environment. WCCA was first known as Kiddie Kollege Kindergarten, which was located in the Kinsey’s garage/basement starting in 1976. After twelve years of pre-school, they felt led by God to add higher grades and to change the name to White Creek Christian Academy. Then in 1989 land was donated in memory of Tony Canup for WCCA to move to their present location. A building called “King’s Hall” was built during that summer. It was called this in honor of Bradley King (a parent of three students at the time) who came and worked every day sharing his expert knowledge and skills till the building was completed. Four years later (in 1993) the Lord blessed WCCA with another building – the gym, which is called “Major’s Hall” because it is an ancestor’s name of the one who made the single largest construction donation. Mr. Majors was one of the financiers for the Pony Express back in the 1800s. WCCA is located just off Highway 115 on Academy Drive. The school is just two miles east of the Cleveland Square. The outside structure of King’s Hall reminds us of the old-time, little red schoolhouse. The inside hallway, which is shaped like a cross, is a constant reminder that Jesus Christ is the center of the school. WCCA offers Christian Education for pre-school through grade 12. Each child enrolled receives 30 minutes to 45 minutes of Bible training daily. During this precious time many, many students have accepted Jesus as their Savior, and some have accepted the call to preach or to become a missionary. No person shall, on the basis of race, be excluded from participating in, be denied the benefits of, or be subject to discrimination under any program or activity conducted by WCCA. WCCA uses the "A Beka" Curriculum, along with a few “A Beka” DVDs. This curriculum was founded by Dr. and Mrs. Arlin Horton of Pensacola, Florida. "A Beka" is known for its excellence in academic and Christian training. "A Beka" is used throughout the United States and other countries of the world. It has been in use for over five decades.
