The next production of the Franklin-Simpson Community Arts Council will be Agatha Christie's courtroom drama "Witness for the Prosecution" to be performed on April 28, 29 & 30. When Leonard Vole is arrested for the sensational murder of a rich, middle-aged widow, the famous Attorney Wilfrid Robarts agrees to appear on his behalf. Wilfrid, recovering from a near-fatal heart attack, is *supposed* to be on a diet of bland, civil suits. But the lure of the criminal courts is too much for him, especially when the case is so difficult: Vole's only alibi witness is his wife, the calm and coldly calculating Romaine Vole. Wilfrid's task becomes even more impossible when Romaine agrees to be a witness not for the defense but for the prosecution. There will be a Cast Size of 27….Male Characters: 8, Female Characters: 5, Characters either males or females: 14 plus several other non-speaking roles.
