Dr. William (Chip) Bird has been practicing Orthodontics in Madison since 2002, upon graduation from his training in Milwaukee at Marquette University. In 2005, Drs. Peterson and Bird formed Orthodontic Specialists of Madison (OSM). Dr. Bird feels lucky to be able to work with his talented team of smile specialists each and every day!
In 2015, Dr. Kevin Knutson joined OSM after practicing in northern WI. Dr. Knutson is a firm believer that smiles change lives! He considers himself fortunate to come to work daily and have the opportunity to make such a positive impact on the lives of many. The care Dr. Knutson provides goes beyond a functional and esthetic smile: improving self-confidence and quality of life are the real reasons Dr. Knutson does what he does.
In 2019, Dr. Sarah McDermott joined OSM after practicing in Maryland and moving back to Madison in 2017. Dr. McDermott loves working with all of her patients, adults and children, and bringing them joy by helping them achieve their dream smiles! She is grateful everyday she gets to work with her patients and their families and seeing the impact their new smiles make on their life and confidence. Working with her amazing team and seeing her patients with their new smiles makes every day special.
