Hi everybody - as you know, aQ’s been closed for a few months now (with the fine folks at Stranded taking our place on Valencia) and it’s time for a final farewell PARTY (or wake). So all old friends, fans, former customers - you’re invited to an early evening party this coming SUNDAY DECEMBER 4th, at The Make Out Room on 22nd St., from 3pm to 8pm! Free performances from SWIFTUMZ and TONY MOLINA will be part of this celebration of both the life of aQuarius (R.I.P. 1970?- 2016) & the wonderful music community we were lucky enough to be a part of here in SF. Please come!! xoxo the ex-aQ crew
beloved friends of aQ, please join us for one final aQuarius shindig, an aQ wake in the form of a low key blowout, celebrating the amazing community we’ve been lucky enough to be a part of for the last almost 50 years. there’ll be music and booze, food and frivolity, maybe some pizza and snacks, it’ll be kind of a potluck too, so bring anything you care to share. most of all, just bring YOURSELF. we really want one more chance for us all to hang out, customers, friends, labels, distributors, bands, anyone who loves aQ as much as we do. if aQ was part of your life, please come an celebrate with us! we’d love to swap #’s and emails, see old and new friends, cusomers from near and far, reconnect with our aQuarius family, so even though aQ may be gone, we can all continue to nerd out on music together forever, we’ll have guest books too, so you can share your favorite stories, or leave love letters and eulogies for aQuarius... besides just an afternoon and evening of drinking and celebrating and maybe a little bit of mourning, we’ll also have two VERY special performances including: a set from aQ pals SWIFTUMZ. as well as a super duper, special secret aQ (and tUMULt) specific set from THE TONY MOLINA BAND!!!! it starts early in the afternoon, and ends not too late, so folks with kids (kids are okay before 6, even though it's a bar!!), early-to-beds and anyone else with an early bedtime can still come. odds are we'll end up hanging out long after 8, so feel free to stick around, and drink to the end of the age of aQuarius recOrds.

Today is our last day as aQuarius. We'll be open 12-8. Come on by if you can. Thank you to our longstanding customers, friends and family and all the great musicians and artists we met and championed on the way. We leave the store in good hands with Steve and Filippo and the rest of the aQuarius staff as they transition the store into its next chapter of life. Long Live aQuarius! xo
