All Star Transmission was working hard at All Star Transmission.
City of Springfield is trying to force auto repair facilities to purchase a license through them (we already are required by state law to purchase a state repair facility license and they are not cheap) and agree to unannounced inspections from the mayor or designee to inspect premises, parts records and inventories. But they note that they want to include the state law as a reference? State law supersedes city law? This is supposed to be in response to complaints by citizens that have taken their vehicles to facilities without licenses(the same ones who are rude and say that you charge too much so they go to unlicensed places to save themselves money) So why not contact the state as it is the law, and therefore they will punish the offenders. No Springfield would rather punish those of us who already pay? Did I mention that they already passed this? I got a letter delivered on Friday December 27, 2016. The day that all of this goes into effect. A letter detailing a payment schedule for the 6 months required till June 30th when we will have to purchase a whole year for $175.00. My question is who is next? Dog owners? Hairdressers? Concealed weapons holders? Liquor license holders? Doctors? Drivers? If we are required by a higher governing office to comply, then where do they get off? Board meeting tonight at 7:30pm.
