Lewis Engineering was founded in 1974 by George Bartow Lewis, a specialist in municipal engineering. To the firm he brought many years of experience as a civil engineer for various firms in Los Angeles County, Ventura County, and San Luis Obispo County and finally as an assistant city engineer for the City of San Buenaventura. In 1992, George retired from the firm but his legacy of excellence remained. Jane Montague, his daughter is now the Principal Engineer and Owner. She is assisted by Albert Rodriguez, the Project Manager.
