The Good Cup opened in 2003 by Anne Sale who made the coffee shop a central gathering place for the Grassland community. Amanda Taylor began working as a barista in 2007 to gain more coffee knowledge and to set some roots in Franklin. Shortly after getting married, Mike and Amanda Taylor became the new owners in January of 2009. The Good Cup continues to support local businesses such as: Bongo Java Roasting Co., Bean Central, Booch, Triple Crown Bakery, Double Dog Studio, The Nashville Jam Co, East Nashville Spices, Out of the Blue Granola, Local Economy Nashville, Little Seed Farm, Trubee Honey and many more! A portion of the profits go back into the community and to missionaries in Asia & Africa.
