Bear Creek Bicycle shared Ashland Spring Thaw Mt Bike Festival's post.
Courses for the 2017 Spring Thaw announced:
We are happy to report we have finalized the routes for the Spring Thaw. We are fortunate to get access to the trails as they have been closed so far this season. For the XC we have a new and challenging route with approximately 4K of climbing. We will work on posting a map but for now here is the course description. We will start in the same spot in Lithia park just above the reservoir heading out on Glenview. Then it will head up Loop Rd. to 2060. It will continue up the 2060 road past 4 corners to road 200 up to Upper Missing Link. Then turn back down for a spectacular down hill starting with Upper Missing Link down to Lower Missing Link and then to Catwalk. Taking a left on Toothpick and heading over to Caterpillar. This is where it connects with the new hotness starting with Lizzard and down the new Jabberwocky. Then to top it off for the pro experts will head back up Loop Rd to Rollins driveway then down BTI to the finish. The beginner XC will be the same as last year and turn back down at Caterpillar and hit the new trails back to finish. As for the DH it will be the same for stage one heading down Catwalk to Toothpick and for Stage 2 we will be starting it from the Lizzard trail and heading down Jabberwolky. Here is a link to a good map showing the trails . Shuttle schedule for practice runs will be posted soon.
