We are a second-generation, family-owned and -operated service company.

In 1946, Sam W. James started serving customers in the Pasadena area. The community was small in those days and the average service call was $ Although the area has grown and prices have increased, our customers still receive the personal attention and quality customer service that they have come to expect.

After his retirement in 1992, the business has continued to uphold the high standards of quality customer service and integrity under the direction of his son and daughter, Sam Dwayne James and Linda James Williams.

In the state of Texas, licenses are issued in consecutive order. This means that the lower the license number, the earlier the date of issue. Our Responsible Master License number is M-2017, which was obtained by Sam W. James over 60 years ago. At his passing in 2001, the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners allowed his son, Sam Dwayne James (a holder of a current Master Plumbing License of his own), to continue with his father's number. This was one of the last cases in which the state allowed this honor.

At James Plumbing, we do not claim to be the "cheapest plumber in town." Plumbers protect the health of the nation from waterborne diseases and this responsibility should not fall to the lowest bidder. We do strive to be the "Best Plumber in Town" and provide you with professional service and excellent customer service. After all, our family name is on the company!

Occasionally, our company uses subcontractors (for excavation) that have been carefully screened and have a long history of quality service with our company.
