RT @jeffseyler: .@LungAssociation Responds to Pulling American Health Care Act from House Floor lung.org/about-us/media…

Speaker Ryan made the correct choice in pulling the American Health Care Act. This was the right call for lung health and the more than 32 million Americans living with lung disease. However, this is not the end of the healthcare debate. Our advocacy will not stop. We know there is important work to do to improve the healthcare system and meet our principles that coverage should be affordable, adequate and accessible. And, any changes to current law should preserve coverage for these individuals, extend coverage to those who remain uninsured, and lower costs and improve quality for all. Our statement: http://bit.ly/2n2lQ6t

Tomorrow, the U.S. House of Representatives will vote on the American Health Care Act, which will result in an estimated 14 million Americans losing their healthcare in 2018. As currently drafted, we oppose this bill because it will be bad for lung health. Please contact your Representative today and urge them to vote no.
