From its noncompetitive and welcoming environment to its highly acclaimed “Figure Method” barre classes, the Go Figure experience is clearly special. Participants in the Figure Method work on a padded floor and with a ballet barre using their own body for resistance. Light hand-weights are used to sculpt and tone the arms, back, and shoulders. All muscle groups are shaped through slow, thoughtful, challenging movements and are then stretched to improve flexibility and range of motion. Thigh and seat work are conducted at the ballet barre. The hour-long classes were designed with a strong emphasis on posture and overall health of the back; the exercises are always non-impact and gentle on joints.
